Afrojack was scheduled to play at The Music Box last night which was sold out but unfortunately the haters (fire marshalls) had to get involved.

The venue was forced to shut down only after Afrojack dropped one track. Of course this caused a LOT of commotion and management was trying to figure out a solution.

At first Afrojack urged the concert goers to move upstairs for ‘free open bar ’ and even attempted to go upstairs but he probably figured that was a bad idea. Before this could even happen, the fire marshals already decided to shut down the place.

They announced that they’d move the party to Vanguard but they actually moved it over the Playhouse on Hollywood. Unfortunately for most, Playhouse is 1/3 of the size of The Music Box and there was already a party going on. A lot of angry patrons were surprised to find out that they were charging $50 to get in despite the fact they already paid admission to see Afrojack at The Music Box…You can’t really blame either parties because the clubs are not affiliated.

When I got inside thru the backdoor at Playhouse the club was already considerably full and DJ ROSS ONE was on the decks – he’s actually a really good DJ that I’ve yet to check out. He graciously stepped off to let Afrojack play his set.

I know one thing for sure, Playhouse got LUCKY as hell to be able to get Afrojack in their venue as they usually don’t get that high profile of a DJ to spin at their venue. Let’s see what The Music Box & Afrojack has in store to make it up for all those disappointed by last night.
