Long awaited grand opening of The Belasco Theatre on March 19, 2011 located in Downtown Los Angeles near the Staples Center and LA Live. The area is starting to really get interesting esp. with the new addition of this venue. The venue itself I heard just completed 10+ million dollar renovation but definitely retained it’s historic feel – will be interesting to see how this space will evolve into a new destination for electronic acts to perform.
The club definitely wanted to set a tone by having Deadmau5 graced the stage. The electro rodent was donning his chrome headpiece , one of my more favorite pieces.
Recently, he posted on his facebook that he will putting up his diamonte headpiece for auction for Japan Relief.
Still awaiting to see the list of events for their weekly “Legacy Saturdays” coming up for this new space in downtown LA.
