Man what a night. This was definitely one of the better Dubstep events I’ve been too in Los Angeles. The sold out show (11/19) at the Music Box in Los Angeles was an event thrown by LABEATDOWN.
Borgore is a dubstep DJ from Israel and he plays some pretty heavy tracks. People were lined up in the rain for this event regardless that the show was sold out.
Once we got inside we came in during DJ Qbert’s set which was always a delight if you’re a fan of turntabalism because , let’s face it, QBERT is legendary in that world killing DMCs all day.
Onto Borgore’s set which was mayhem from start to end. Mosh pits, whip cream and random random girls on stage meant this show got pretty rowdy. What’s interesting about this dude is that he raps over his tracks as well–don’t see that too often.
I can’t post some of the footage online since it’s probably NSFW, but in the first clip you can imagine what may have happened.
I can only guess LABEATDOWN‘s events becoming even more popular after this past week’s show. Check out their next event on 12/25 with DATSIK and another DMC Champ, DJ SWAMP (DMC video below). Don’t sleep on these guys.
