Just came home from a major disappointment and witnessing something I’ve never seen before in a Hollywood club. Right as I found parking and came to the front of the line to get inside Avalon to see the highly anticipated Dada Life and also openers Boy 8 Bit, we were told the club was no longer letting anyone inside since they hit capacity(11:30PM)…what they did not tell us was that there was a shitstorm brewing.

The cops, riot police, ghetto birds, and the fire department blocked off the entire street and kicked everyone out the club! This seems like a major hit to the club itself and the promoters. Something inside must have went down for something this chaotic to occur. I feel honestly bad for everyone tonight since the promoters are getting shafted as well as the attendees that came to have fun tonight.
I even heard Dada Life was denied entrance, obviously in hindsight it was for a good reason. But you know what? Props to Dada Life for causing such a fucking rukus by coming to Los Angeles, they deserve some points for this. Hopefully, they’ll rearrange another gig sometime soon in the near future.

I just came back home… & i was inside this shit. Im a regular at Control and lately since the Fall Season shit hasnt been goin right . THIS WAS BOUND TO HAPPEN… FIGHTS broke out inside due to the new kids being told to go home!!! No offense to anyone but this only started happening after Control started to promote in places like EDC & Audiotistic… mainly Audio thats where many people heard bout this then it hit PLURLIFE (when it all went down sigh) & so people from all walks of life who doesnt know squat shit bout DadaLife & Boy 8Bit started commin sigh… Seriously idk why they need to promote themselves it was totally fine when only true Hollywood partygoers and true househeads whould go!!! it was still packed & fun!!!! Plus prices then weren’t ridiculous & this is me who pays only $10 bucks a night hahaha thats alot vs then cause most nights were even free… So sad that the LA rave/party scene is starting to die do to fake little kids who dont know how to party comin and not partying responsibly. Seriously if you wanna party with adults come with a straight head & have fun NO ONE CARES about you lookin or acting cool… just chill out & party!!!

Prices and crazy ravers have nothing to do with what happened last night. In case you’ve never been to Avalon before, they have a tendency to book their shows way over capacity.. to the point where there isn’t even room to dance. Once again, they over sold tickets and filled the house only this time they were caught by the fire marshall and were forced to shut down. When you have hundreds of people under the influence who are angry that they were kicked out of a show that they already had paid for, this is obviously going to happen… in any genre of music. The only people who are at fault are the staff of avalon and they need to take responsibility. Obviously they would like oversell tickets because all of that cash is going in their pockets, but hopefully from now on they will acknowledge the capacity limit for the size of their venue. On another note, INGROSSO TONIGHT!

by jacking up prices yur actually inviting ravers than you are the real people who goes to Avalon… serious the real answer should be: Making this a 21+ event… ALL the problems that happen in Avalon are ALWAYS due to little kids not being responsible… like seriously this aint hs at yur homies backyard this is motherfuckin Hollywood. Party Responsibly!!! Why it even went this crazy is due to little kids fighting inside and then throwin bottles outside cause they cant hop to another bar or just go somewhere else… like i said LITTLE KIDS ARE THE PROBLEM MAKE THIS SHIT 21+
I think if everyone was 21+ it doesn’t change the fact that the event was overbooked, Age has nothing to do with the event being overbooked.
If you all haven’t heard yet, Avalon will be booking another DADA life performance in Feburary-March, and they are also giving a free event also of your choice. Call avalon to see whats up.
