This past Halloween was quite the night, and was almost worth getting the swine flu. Honestly, I did not know what to expect this year because they moved the mainstage outdoors this year and I was looking forward to hearing this big stadium tracks inside the arena.

However, the choice to move it outside was on point. They used the parking lot for the L.A. Coliseum this year to handle all the various entry gates/parking/security/willcall while they used the parking lot for the Sports Arena to host the mainstage. The sound was excellent and the trust pillars with pyros and fog added a little bit of an epic touch.

I could g on to detail about the other DJs doing a splendid job, an honorable mention goes out to John O’Callghan, but Armin Van Burren stole the show. Just take a look at the video below for teaser of what he brought that night. He kept it tempo fast paced with some pretty hard tracks but at the same time throwing his melodic vocal tracks in as well. Kept everyone happy. I believe he merely had to throw down a hard set, because it was Halloween and also because he just got voted number 1 DJ by DJmag.

Word to the wise, if you ever plan on going to future Monster Massives, save yourself some stress and aggravation by buy VIP tickets. From what I’ve heard, the GA line was straight stupid and unpleasant. The VIP area this year was right next to the stage and you had room walk around (a.k.a. not stepping on little raver kids rolling balls).

Still trying to locate a tracklist for the night because, damn, it was choon after choon.

I’ll update some more info later after I recover from this fucking swine flu. For those of you who have yet to get it, and I’m sure a lot of you will(it’s only early november), swine flu is pretty much like the regular flu except most people out there have no sort of immunity towards it. I barfed once, had crazy chills, got aches like a mother fucker (dancing all night on Saturday didnt help), had headaches, had no appetite for first two days, diarrhea, and had shortness of breath.

For anyone who might be in a similar situation, if you vomit/diarrhea/shortness of breath   then you should probably get checked out. They can do a swab test to determine if you have it, but even then it’s only 60% accurate, but most doctors will just treat you for the swine flu anyways if you have any of the symptoms mentioned above.

So mother fuckers, wash your hands and get your shots.
